Meditation Benefits
Rest and Quiet Your Mind
Stressed Out? High Pressured Career Demands? Family Concerns? School Problems?
Do you have too many irons in the fire? Do you feel as if you need to stop and re-organize, but your life is moving at so fast a pace that you feel you don't have a chance, or the time, for fear that all you have done will fall apart?
Are you allowing the pressures of life to affect your health?
Are you wearing down? Do you need your batteries recharged?
Are you looking for a way to calm down, to slow down the wild merry go round ride, that is our life at times?
The answer to these challenges could be in daily Meditation. Taking time out for you, not for anyone else, but for you.
In today’s hustle and bustle 24/7 world economy, it is easy to get caught up in our “busyness”. Our companies or our businesses demand more of us and our lives can tend to be out of balance. We have more to do, our family, our kids, our friends, our volunteering, our to do lists of errands, etc., etc., and we never seem to stop “doing”.
Even when we vacation, that is taking time off our work, we still go about solving problems, overcoming challenges, and thinking of ways to fit more in, to get more done, before we start back to work. Some of us have so much fun on vacation that we have to go back to work to get some rest!
Do you sometimes feel like the snowball going downhill, gaining speed, gathering momentum until it is uncontrollable, unstoppable, sure to crash somewhere?
Our brains, our minds need a break too. Meditation fills this need. A friend once told me, “Meditation is the ultimate rest period for the mind.” The rest, the rejuvenation, the power boost, the sharpening of your focus, the physical benefits you attain by meditating, have no equal.
Even sleep does not compare in the density of benefits you receive, within comparable time periods. The list of benefits you derive both mentally and physically from meditation is a long one. Just know that once you have built up the habit of regularly meditating, you will be a different person.
Just minutes of meditation daily can help you to re-center, give clarity to your mind, your creativity goes through the roof, and it boosts your productivity. You seem to have more time, your self discipline improves, and life takes on new meaning, new significance. Some of the greatest minds of our time, and of all time, I might add, have practiced meditation, and absolutely recommend it.
Read about it, learn the art of meditation, and have the courage to meditate daily even for a few minutes, and when you have become skilled at it, you will look back on the old you and wonder why you hadn’t started sooner!
