Self Discipline, The Engine Of Personal Freedom

Self Discipline, The Engine of Personal Freedom And Success

Make Self Discipline a Habit And It can set you FREE! The following article contains works from Stephen Covey, Tony Robbins, and Zig Ziglar. I have put them together in the same area because they so beautifully seemed to define Personal Freedom for me. The quotes are used loosely here to make a point only. I have titled it:

Personal Freedom
My definition of personal freedom is doing and having what I want, when I want, as much as I want, where ever I want, for as long as I want!

Success is defined as the pursuit of a worthwhile goal, a journey. The successful person has the habit of doing the things failures don’t like to do. They don’t like doing them either necessarily.

But their disliking is subordinated to the strength of their purpose. That subordination requires a purpose, a mission, a clear sense of direction and value, a burning ” YES! ” inside that makes it possible to say “no” to other things. The Practice Of Self Discipline.

‘It also requires independent will, the power to do something when you don’t want to do it, to be a function of your values rather than a function of the impulse or desire of any given moment. It’s the power to act with integrity to your proactive first creation.’ — Stephen Covey

The definition of Discipline in the beginning of life, is the choice of achieving what you really want by doing those things you don’t really want to do. After successfully doing this for some time, Discipline becomes the choice of achieving what you really want by doing things you now want to do!

I truly believe that we can become disciplined and enjoy it! — after practicing it and getting good at it. ‘Things are always more fun when you are good at them.’ — Tony Robbins

‘It is true — when you do the things you ought to do, when you ought to do them, the day will come when you will do the things you want to do, when you want to do them.’ — Zig Ziglar

Therefore it follows that: Personal Freedom comes from practicing absolute discipline until it becomes a habit. — Al Smith
